I've never had a plasma before. I use my lcd for video games/tv/movies. I see the Plasma 3D tvs are priced low. I'm looking to go 50" about.

I saw a few samsung versions but i dont know the differences.

There was the Sony BRAVIA KDL46HX800 46-Inch 1080p 240 Hz 3D-Ready LED HDTV, Black...

Panasonic TC-P50GT25 50-Inch 1080p Full HD 3D/2D

Looking to spend under $1600...What's a good choice?

Can i do everything i do on my lcd on a plasma? Burn ins?

Thanks

In your price range, I think the Samsung pn50c7000 is your best bet. After the latest firmware, many think its image quality beats the VT25 series.

It generally does take a little longer for images to fade on a plasma than an LCD, especially the Samsungs. As long as you switch up your viewing and don't get carried away with marathon sessions of games that have bright static HUDs you should be OK, but if you're bothered by minor lingering image retention then plasma may not be for you.
