Sonus Faber Amanti Homage. Have not heard the Stradivaris yet though.... 25 years ago I liked the monster Polk SDA speakers.

The specs lead me to believe they are VSA VR2 clones, right down to the rear tweeter. Haven't heard them, but sure are purty.

Best speakers, in no particular order:

Klipschorn

Mirage M1

Wilson WP7

Von Schweikert VR11se

Linn Helix

Let's see ...... Mission 770 Freedom, Castle Stirling, B&W801 Matrix, BBC LS3/5a, KEF105.2, Dalquist DQ10, Tannoy Lancaster 15" Dual Concentric, and the Quad ESL-63. :)

In the last 25 years and in no particular order: Infinity RS-1B, ProAc Response 4, Von Schweikert 4jr, Vandersteen 5 and the Apogee ribbons, Celestion SL-700 (hope I remembered the model number correctly). These are not necessarily the best ever but are speakers I have heard and that made a big impression on me.

Peter:

On the 801 Matrix, any preference for the Series 1, 2 or 3? I see them used and am tempted

I must say that I continue to be impressed by my JBL LX22's that are now about 15 years old. Obviously they are not the best speakers ever, but for 2 way bookshelves they still blow away most new speakers.
