Igby Goes Down

A very fine film with excellent acting by the likes of Kirean Culkin, Claire Danes, Susan Sarandon, Jeff Goldbloom and Bill Pullman. **** (4 stars)

North By Northwest

Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint in the classic Hitchcock. Beautiful transfer. Wonderful color in a suspenseful movie. Gotta love it.

Notorious

Another Hitchcock. Cary Grant and the wonderful Ingrid Bergman. This is the Criterion version. Beautiful restoration, but keep in mind the film is almost 60 years old.

The Ring

Mindless drivel, but fun nonetheless. Don't try to make sense of it. Just enjoy.

Gordon Lightfoot Live in Reno

Gord is in pretty good form for a 70 year old guy. All the hits.

TCB,

If you like Hitchcock, you need to watch Rear Window.

jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly. I never really thought of Grace Kelly as a "babe", I think because she was before my time, but when I seen her in Rear Window, I couldn't believe how hot she was! It's worthy seeing this movie just for the "Grace" factor. Jimmy's not to bad himself.

these are not that recent, but scary as hell:

japanese' Audition and the Korean's Tell me somthing, like "Seven". both are with femme fatale, very deceiving. clean but a bit gory. not for the fainted heart.

hehe!

I will never again watch a movie with Susan Sarandon. Plus a few of her friends. I know I may miss out on seeing a good movie. That's just the way it is.

Tell me about it. I have watched this movie many times and every time I think that the Stewart character is a moron for not wanting to marry her. Unrealistic if you ask me.

Your right about the Stewart character, He was fascinated with his neighbors more than he was with Grace Kelly. That being said, would you still recommend this movie? I have only seen it once but I plan on getting it again after i get my new projector.

Jay,

Highly recommended. Its one of the top 2 or 3 Hitchcocks every made. The transfer in not what North by Northwest is, but its more than passable.
