Songs from Rockband with Rockband 2?

No. You need the RB1 game disc. Make a friend/rent/buy. Then launch RB1. under options, there will be an export function. It'll cost you 400 MS points which is $5 I believe. The entire RB1 collection, excluding Paranoid (black sabbath)/Run to the hills/Enter Sandman, will be moved to your hard drive. Then you can go back to Rock Band 2 and see all the RB1 songs there.

Just curious though... how come Paranoid (black sabbath)/Run to the hills/Enter Sandman won't be moved?

Harmonix had to pay again to licsense the RB1 songs to be transferred to RB2, im not exactly sure what happened but i think it came down to those bands being very greedy.

i wouldn't be suprised. lars ulrich was too cheap to spend $90 on GH3 for his kids so he made them send one for free because there was a metallica song on it.

Enter sandman was made unavailable for relicensing by Metallica signing an exclusive deal with Activision(see the GH:metallica trailer at metallica.com). Iron Maiden and Ozzy have had issues with MTV in teh past and don't like giving up their masters(something HMX pretty much looks for in every newly acquired song license). HMX said some of the songs may show up later as masters in the form of free DLC.
