I have the 10HT with a 120" diagonal 16:9 screen Grayhawk screen.


The Grayhawk improves contrast ratio but it turns whites to gray and reduces brightness.


I have a light controlled room. I also have a Studiotek 130 screen that I have not yet tried with the 10HT. Has anyone here tried both screens with the 10HT? If so what is your conclusion regarding which one is better?

I swapped out the Grayhawk for the Firehawk on a projector (Sanyo XP21N) that has a lot more brightness than the 10HT. What I noticed is much greater contrast and better black and a ton of punch.


Since you have the Studiotek, try it first. IMHO the Sony will benefit from a screen with gain. If you are satisfied with the contrast/black, hang on to your $$$ until you upgrade the entire system.
