I am setting up a 1251 (1024x768 max res) with a Quadscan Elite HD for a 16:9 screen.

Should I use the 720p output? If so will I get the full 1280 vertical resolution since the 1251 is 1024x768? Or should I use the 480p output (960 vertical).

I assume that I would then use the RGB size adjustment to fit it to a 16:9 screen.

I hope my plan is not way out of whack, but I welcome all suggestions.

Thanks,

Jim

I have the same equipment as you do, the Quadscan works just fine.

I played with all the Quadscan output options and have settled on line tripled, as I can see the scan lines quite clearly when playing NTSC video sources on my 104 inch wide screen.

I have set the projector up for 4:3 souces line tripled primarily because I like the screen full when playing 4:3 sources. Also when I play 16:9 the projector seems to be in its sweet spot and the picture appears better as least the correct number of lines is within the 16:9 area for it to be in its sweet spot. The optimin seems to be about 660P and I can get that within the 16:9 picture when its line tripled.
