Hello all, great forum (my first post, but I have read others at length!)

I have a Sony 1270Q projector. Just acquired an IFB-12 component input card so that I can hook up an ExpressVu 6100 Hi Def receiver. The card is installed and working well....except in Black & White!

There are 6 dip switches on the front of the card, and about another six on the circuit board itself (and a few jumpers too). Anyone know how the switches and jumpers should be set on this card to get produce colour Hi Def output from a component input?

Thanks in advance!

The ExpressVu receiver doesn't have an RGB output, or I would have went this route. It has DVI and component video outputs only, and I'm told that the DVI output may not have the horizontal and vertical sync that the projector would require. The IFB-12 card was advertised as working with all Sony 12xx projectors.

I do have a great Hi Def picture in 1080i with proper H and V sync on the component video cable that came with the receiver. Only problem is that the picture is B&W.

the 1270s are different, i briefly had a ifb-12a and it would not work with component progressive signals (for sure) and i coudl not get a color signal with 480 i component (i had the sheet with the jumper settings as well) we determined that it would not work with a 1270 (from looking at old PMs)

I mucked with the 1270 and an IFB 12 card today for a few hours, and ran through what Brian outlined to me as to the switch settings.

Nada, no workie.

I understand from Eric at ceeareteecinema.com that the 12 board would not work with the 1270 sets, they were different enough from the other 12XX sets so that they would not work.

I don't have any other 12XX sets here right now, otherwise I'd be into them RIGHT NOW.

What I might try is to swap out CPU boards to see if that will let the IFB12 pass a progressive component in full color to the 1270 set.

There you may be try additional Sony Interface Control Switcher PC-1271

install your IFB12 interface board input component video signal and by

control switcher output RGBHV to your projector. it may work (not sure).

i believe IFB 12 it does not perfect fit to Sony 1270 and also my G70 and

1252 i using IFB1300 HD card input the projector by Y YP YR 1080i for the

amazing image. If you need IFB12 manual i can send to you.

if you switch out the cpu board, could you get things like hour counter and 21 point convergance?
