I tried the sound and vision calibration settings and am getting better shadow detail in cable sdr content, but it may be technically (measured by the camera versus my uneven eye) incorrect on my display.

What threw me Tyler was D-Nice's settings in the owner's thread having 2 point and 10 point settings. I'm assuming that's OK for 10 point but not for 20 point?Because they don’t intend you to use the 2 point if you are using the 20 point.

Officially we recommend never using the two point. He disagrees, That being said you can use whatever you want , you just need to understand the consequences and what happens to the other picture modes that share that color temperature preset. What threw me Tyler was D-Nice's settings in the owner's thread having 2 point and 10 point settings. Could you explain that a little further?Officially we recommend never using the two point. He disagrees, That being said you can use whatever you want , you just need to understand the consequences and what happens to the other picture modes that share that color temperature preset.

D-Nice explained it as 2 point is "coarse" and multipoint is fine adjustment. In my case, I want color temp exp 1 to be D-65 and exp 2 to be an AWP. If they shared the same coarse basic setting, I'm assuming that the multipoint would have a harder time correcting the 2 point if at all. Plus I might like color temp exp 2 to be D-75 or even further from D-65.I would assume if you left 2 point intact you would have to calibrate “further” in every other 10 or 20 value. I am guessing that the finer adjustments may take longer then.
@WiFi-Spy how onerous is the calibration with the kit? Can the tv communicate with the calibration camera and self adjust or is that technically impossible?

For those of us not doing autocal or CM Home, does your 2pt vs multipoint advise still apply? (Manual cal w Chromapure or HCFR, etc)Here is a tutorial video of the process:

Yeah, I wa hoping to keep this more generic, not just Calman based. There is a thread for that.Super sleek. The cost seems to more than double the display! I am guessing there is no way to rent the generator and camera?
