Hi,
I have a '99 model 32" V Series Sony Trinitron TV that I just love the image on. I have calibrated as much as I can using the Avia disc, but I am still having an image problem. On the top right hand side on edges of text or sharp graphics I am getting a slight red ringing of objects. Since I have already calibrated the picture settings and its only on one corner of the image I can only assume its the red beam that is out of alignment. I went into the service menu for the set with a crosshatch pattern onscreen and tried turning off the red and surprise, surprise, the ringing dissapears and the remaining lines are deadly sharp. (well...as sharp as possible for an interlaced set)
Is there any website with step by step info or does anyone know how to adjust these sorts of alignment problems. I understand it will require a physical manual adjustment with the back cover off but I would like to accomplish it w/o either a) killing my tv or b)running 10,000 volts though my body.
Thanks in advance.
