Purchased a Sony 32" xbr2 lcd after christmas and the unit failed yesterday.


Should I exchange for another xbr2 or try something different.


looking at the following 32" lcd's


sony 2010 series

toshiba

samsung


making the exchange tonight after work.


please advise.

How did it fail?

picture flickered then went black during the course of the last week. they agreed to replace set.

Did the 32' show any signs of "clouding" or Mura? I've read about the Sony clouding issues with the 40 & 46 XBR2s but I wanted to know how the 32 performed?

update.


exchanged 1st. set last evening.


2nd set had a noticeable fried pixel in a bad spot and on a dark background, the set looked like a ceiling painted by michaelangelo...noticeable cloud effect.


then looked at toshiba, samsung, panasonic, jvc, sony 2010 at length.


decided on a 3rd set.... sony xbr2. The others just did not turn me on.


so far so good. cloud effect not as bad. will wait a few days and see. screen looked ok.
