Two problems and one question.

1. Yellow Discoloration in the corners

2. While in in letter box, the bottom black bar curves up slightly.

Question: Can you set the squeeze alway on in the service manual, so i don't have to change it ever time i watch a DVD in progressive mode.

If you have any solutions, please list them. Thanks

I can answer your question. Make sure the dvd player thinks your screen is a 16:9 screen. My Toshiba DVD player will invoke the squeeze on my XBR400 on both S-video and component input. If that doesn't work, then you have another problem.

Is your DVD player a progressive scan? I have been told that the XBR won't do the auto squeeze on a progressive scan dvd player. When i switch it back interlaced mode, it does the auto squeeze no problem. When i use it in progressive mode, i have to do the squeeze manually. I am wondering if there is way to the squeeze on all the time with component inputs. So i don't have to keep changing it to squeeze everytime i watch a dvd.

My dvd player is set in 16:9 mode.
