Still a heavy tv by todays standars , but not that heavy.
Sony`s getting out of the plasma business?? Don`t know but I think so.
One huge plus is the sound 100W total you gota love that part , and it sounds like 100W.
I watched Star Wars II this afternoon and after I saw image retention NOT burn-in.
So how long must we "break-them-in" to prevent this ?? I wish I knew, word is 1000 hr`s to be on the safe side.
Only a 30 day return policy , ( better than nothing ).
I have my contrast set at half and brightness at 1/4 with the pro setting + power saving mode.
Should I have seen the retention of the black bars ?? Don`t know.
YES they did go away , quickly as a matter of fact.
Still bothers me though.
2nd remote , why , "Still" functions works but no still button on the remote. ( I have an older Sony tv and used that remote to varify that the freeze function works. \\
Old remote was # RM-Y1003 new one is RM-Y1004 , old one of course had a freeze button.
Could not adjust pic size in freeze mode , thats probly is why they changed remotes.
Picture quality is very good , even SD looks A-OK , HD is very good , although CC won`t be installed until Thursday. You may be able to pickup a few HD here and there without a cable card. Most are HD in 4X3 mode ??? Why????
If this is my idea of a partial review , well you get the picture.
