A mate has been good enough to loan me his 42inch Sony Plasma (SD) while the fan on my X1 projector is getting replaced (has to be shipped from Singapore, hmmm 12v 8cm fan, unbeliebable)

Anyways with the X1 i feed it 16:9 PC ratios no problem at all (as had 16:9 screen) but this "actual" 16:9 display (ie plasma) seems to have a tissue when a 16:9 res is feed it.

1024 x 768 is fine, but of cause stretched (which causes issues for software that can't turn of keep aspect)

I there any special timings i can enter in power strip that will work? Seems very strange that a 4:3 display (ie X1) can work with various 16:9 res's no problems at all, and a 16:9 display can't. It is a Fony after all but :)

Of topic, im glad to have it as a "loaner", certainly beats 51cm 4:3 CRT, but BOY does the X1 OWN the plasma in EVER picture aspect, even full black is better in fully dark room on the X1.

Any ideas would be great, or else i can live with it for a while i guess ;)

Thanks

D
