Hi there,

I've been looking at a lot of tvs lately and would appreciate some help! I was able to do a side by side of the Z5100 with an XBR9 and could see no difference, so now I've got it narrowed down to the 52Z5100 or the 52W5100.

I haven't been able to do a comparison of the two displays, so I'm hoping someone here might have experience with either or both of these sets. Basically, is the Z5100 noticeably better than the W5100? Any real world differences (I know the Z is 10 bit and 240hz, the W is 8 bit and 120hz) that justify the higher price of the Z5100?

What would you go with, the Z or the W, and why?

Thanks in advance!

Compared to Z5100 & W5100,

Z5100 delivers 1080p resolution with 240Hz motionflow. The TV supports BRAVIA Engine 3 processor, Motionflow 240Hz technology, and Internet connectivity. This is only line offers slim line in 2009 from sony.

W5100 delivers 1080p resolution with 120Hz motionflow. The TV also supports BRAVIA Engine 3 processor, Motionflow 120Hz technology, BRAVIA Internet Video content, Yahoo! widgets, YouTube and Amazon Video On Demand, which are accessed by attaching the built in Ethernet connection to an existing broadband connection. Enables easy access to digital photos, Music and video on PC.

The W5100 is affordable, but Z series is one step ahead of W series.
