The show is over. The biggest new news is that the 160 GB PS3 is now $249. The 320 GB unit drops to $299 and it comes with inFAMOUS 2 and a free month of PS Plus.

Also, Vita will launch in Europe in Feb/Mar 2012. A few Vita titles were announced, including several Ubisoft franchises, Resistance, and a cool new game called Escape Plan.

Move titles shown focused on fitness and dance releases. Ninja Gaiden 3 is announced to have full Move support.

The PS3 section focused on new footage of upcoming titles like Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3.

Hoping for some more Vita info. I cancelled my preorder but my plan is definitely still to get it at launch. A

A price cut would be cool, though I don't need a new PS3 obviously. I just think the system could gain a lot by cutting price.
You are the best, joeblow! This is the second time in the last few days I've come here to ask a question, only to see it already answered by one of your threads. Keep it up!

I'm really hoping for that drop in price. Been holding off on buying the new model. Even 50 bucks would be nice. Heck, that's a New Release or two greatest hits titles
god of war 4 and some info on agent would be nice. anything to make up for their lackluster e3 showing.

*i don't care about the vita and we already knew about all the other games.
Agent is delayed until 2013. I doubt we hear anything about it until E3 2012.
Probably announcements about various media streaming services only available in the European market. That, and a big push for PS Vita. Maybe a European release date.

Otherwise, more of the usual. Teaser trailer for Last Guardian. Teaser or announcement of a new Quantic Dream game. New teaser for new Sly game. Big push for Uncharted 3. And so on.

EDIT: AFAIK Gamescom is less about big announcements and more about hands-on time for the public. IIRC Sony's "big announcements" at past Gamescom events have been related to hardware revisions and minor PSN service revisions for Europe.
Personally I'd like to see something out of PD/Sony in regards to GT5. Maybe some mention of DLC or some big patch. Kaz said at one point that they were working on a big update which was delayed due to PSN being down, and the only thing we got was a small patch which to me wasn't this big update mentioned. I was expecting something like spec2/3 for GT5P with more cars/tracks/bigger tweaks than minor bug fixes.

I'd also like to hear more about the Vita
I'd like to see Last Guardian and some actual gameplay, but probably nothing but a trailer 'til Tokyo. I also wouldn't mind some more God of War, but it would be interesting to see the next new idea from Sony Santa Monica. A game from GG that isn't Killzone would also be a welcome surprise.

There will probably be a lot of Vita news, or at least lots of folks playing demo units. I'm on the fence with Vita as I didn't really enjoy my PSP- too uncomfortable for me.

PS3 price cut? If the don't cut at least $50 then I'll be really surprised.
- The game GG is working on has been rumored to be a new IP.

- Last Guardian will likely wait to be shown at Japan's TGS show next month.

- Final Fantasy vs. XIII will not only be absent from GamesCom, it won't even be at TGS! I guess they will focus on FF XIII-2.

- Vita will likely be at least half of this show's focus if not more than that IMHO

- If there is a GT V announcement before E3 2012 (rumored to be in Hollywood), I imagine this show makes the most sense for it

Glad to hear the rumor that GG's announcement won't be another KZ. They absolutely butchered KZ3.

If a price cut affects us here in the states, I'll be ready to pick up another PS3 for the living room.
The Devil May Cry reboot has new footage at the show. They changed Dante's goofy re-design again:

The fighting action doesn't have that crisp, snappiness to it like the previous games in the series.

Rumor at the show: the 320 GB PS3 got a $50 discount. No word on the 160 GB unit, no confirmation on whether it is true.
New Dark Souls trailer!

When is the Sony keynote?
3
DMC looks.... weird

and Dark Souls looks amazing!!
Glad my brother will pick the NA edition, he had the asian import of Demon Souls so we weren't on the same server

Ninja Theory did Heavenly Sword and Enslaved (I own and enjoyed both), two games where the combat cannot be called "crisp". That's not a bad thing, just that their style of gameplay combat tends to be heavy, and takes some getting used to when learning the game. It will be interesting to see if they can deliver a game that satisfies a rabid fan base with certain expectations.

It's in the first post (i.e., NAO!
).

It's a bad thing IMHO. The deep combat engine is the best thing about the series. If the new developer screws it up, I'll treat it like DMC2 and simply not buy it.
