Hey all,


I am in the market for a Blu-ray player and Ultimate Electronics is having a huge sale on the Sony player this Thursday for 4 hours..$249


Is there any reason why I shouldn't be picking this up? I need the analog outs, because I have a Pioneer Elite 72txv and it doesnt decode the newer HD sound formats. I will be using HDMI to the tv and the analog outs to the Pioneer.


Are there better Blu-Ray alternatives I should be looking at?

As Donnie pointed out, we don't allow pricing in any thread, but the deals sticky at the top of the forum.


As far as "helping a person choose a player"...that is also a sticky that we use to cover those looking for player suggestions or advice. Once you've created a short list and have questions about specific player(s).


Then we have "owners/master" threads for each popular player. We ask that you post questions specific to that player within it's master thread.
