I'm looking at picking up an upconverting / upscaling DVD player and have narrowed my choices down to these two:


Sony DVP-NS700H

With the Sony DVD player, the Bravia Sync feature should work when hooked up to my TV. Will the Samsung DVD player work with the Bravia Sync feature as well? I've read some threads where people mention that Samsung's AnyNet+ is compatible with Sony's Bravia Sync, but I haven't read anything definitive about this topic.


Has anyone actually tried a Samsung AnyNet+ equipped unit with a Sony Bravia Sync equipped unit? Did they work properly together?

I think Bravia Sync is only meant for all Sony devices, TV, Receiver, DVD Player, Blu-Ray Player such and such.


Samsung AnyNet+ is also the same with there brand of devices as well.

Thanks. I've seen posts elsewhere where people mention it should work. I'd like people who have tried and know for sure whether it will or won't work to reply.

The thing is, I failed to understand the use of this technology when you can simply just buy a Harmony remote and control all your devices.

In my case a Harmony remote is overkill. All I have is a TV and maybe a DVD player. There are two DVD player models I'm considering. A Sony and a Samsung. I like the Samsung more, but it has Anynet+.
