Sony CT100 or CT500

Personally (and this is just me) I would go for the CT100. I had mine in a small living room and was very impressed with it. Now if you had a huge living room or bedroom, I would probably go for the CT500. They both sound great and the CT500 is definitely a considerable upgrade from the CT100. CT100 sounds amazing (especially for the price) in a small bedroom though.

I recently picked up a 100 for my 15x20 living room and it works rather well for me. I thought about the 500 and I'm glad I didn't get it because for my situation, I don't know that the extra cost would have been worth it.


At any rate, pick up a 100 at a place that allows returns, review the 100 thread for config tips, and give it a shot. If it doesn't work out, return it and get the 500. If it does, great, you saved yourself some cash!
