Sony D50Q tube life expectancy

Have a Sony D50Q with 7100 hours and wondered how much more life they have in them.


If they need changing, are there tubes available at a reasonable price?

How does the image look to you? The tubes will run forever, with more use they will lose focus, brightness and the colors will not be the same.


If it looks good run it, otherwise you can replace them or get another better PJ.

search the forum for the link to sony to buy new tubes. I believe they are about 475 each (new), but if the picture looks good just enjoy it. I had the same questions when I picked up my first d50 but then I realized that it was just great the way it was. Enjoy.
