We just got a Sony KDE50XBR 950 50" plasma hung on the wall and love it so far. The sound seem very good as is. However, we do plan to add a sound system in near future.

I see where Sony makes these Sony DVD Dream Systems which includes an all in one audio receiver with DVD player, speakers and with subwoofer etc. The best seems to be the DAV-FC9. It is a 650 watts total system.

I cannot find it being discussed on the forum. Would this be a good way to go??? It seems like an easy way to buy a system. The salesperson who sold me the tv is not impressed with this system, but I think he may just want to sell me something that costs thousands rather than the listed $999 for this.

Would this be a good way to go in your opinion? I am a novice at this obviously and could use advice of those of you familiar with sound systems.

Thank you in advance for any guidance on this subject.

A sub

And you have a nice sounding system for about the same amount - will sound good for music as well.
