I have a sony DVP-CX860 dvd changer. When I turn the unit on, it automatically plays a DVD. Under the setup menu, I set the auto play feature to OFF. Is there some other setting I need to change? It is driving me nuts. Thanks,

This "Feature" is inherent to every Sony DVD player and changer I've owned. I currently own the DVP-CX875P, the next generation mega changer after yours. The "auto play" setting only effects what the player does after power is cut off, and plugged back in, not what the player does coming out of standby.


These are great players if you can overlook this "feature."


A [email protected] work around is to hit "stop" ONCE, then shut down the player. On start up, the disk will load, but it will not play.
