I'm calibrating my Sammy DLP and using my older Sony DVP-NS900V for my Component 1 interlaced and progressive signals. I went through the interlaced configuration just fine and finished by touching up brightness (It passes Pluge), contrast, color decoder etc.... all using DVE. I then moved on to the Progressive signal path and found that while trying to adjust the brightness control that I could only get the brightest bar out of the three present on DVE's Pluge pattern to show up and that was only at about a setting of 75. Anything below 75 and no bars were visible.......changes to gamma, contrast etc. had no effect.............does anybody have any idea what could be going on? Switch the unit back to interlaced and everything dials in perfectly. I'd used this player to calibrate my older HLM DLP and never noticed this issue.
