I just purchased a used Sony HD100. The previous owner only used it for OTA reception, so it was never used for Directv. When I hook it up to my dish will it still get the updates/patches, or are they history. I am not sure how long ago the updates/patches for the HD100 were sent down and if there are still being transmitted.


If anyone knows I would appreciate it.

Well, I don't know if the updates are still being downloaded, and I don't think that there have been any new one for quite a while, however, I can tell you that there have been four updates, and how to check for them.

Turn on your equip, and on the HD-100 remote press:

exit

exit

77773

exit

The patch screen will display which patches have been installed, on my unit

it shows:
