I have the Sony 60" GW II and use the HD200 for D*. I previously had used the DVI cable and thought the SD PQ was absolutely horrendous. I recently picked up a Bravo D1 and used the DVI for that and switched over to Component for the HD200. To my amazement, the PQ on the SD channels has improved A LOT, while HD channels look identical to me. Is there a logical explanation for this, or is it just a fluke?

I also receive Digital cable from Cablevision and felt the PQ of their SD channels were much better than D*. The switch to component has definitely closed the gap.

I appreciate any comments, because when I was making the switch I thought the opposite would actually occur.

Anyone have any thoughts? I did a search here and couldn't find anything similar.
