This may seem rather redundant to some people here on the forum but I'm no expert and I don't see much being said about the IS. My dilemma is simple. I don't want to buy a receiver separately being that my room is so small.

Unfortunately my room is also square (I heard that was bad). These two Sony's both come with the receiver built into the back of the sub.

The IS-100 is an actual 5.1 while the CT-100, if I'm not mistaken, is a virtual surround bar.

I've seen lots of threads about the CT-100 and am very close to purchasing it simply from what I've read here, which has been quite a bit, though I still have my doubts. Particularly about its ability to imitate the surround sound as well as producing the HD Audio Codecs ect...(This doubt also spreads to the IS-100)

Any help deciding would be great.

Thank You!

Oh, by the way, I have a Panasonic DMP-BD35 and would probably do the DTS-MA & Dolby TrueHD decoding on there (once I figure out how).

Thanks Again!
