Sony HTST5000 board swap

Hey. I’ve had the Sony HTST5000 for a little over 2 years. It started having intermittent issues a couple months ago. Not turning on, menu not coming up, not being able to change sound fields. Then last week I turned it on and got a scrolling Please Wait message and it never turned back on. After a little research I found this is a common problem with the main board going bad on these. Sony was no help because I am out of warranty. I believe I found the board itself for sale online. I believe this is the main board I need to swap. Sony Sub Main Compl F-1306-638-9 (La9). Does anyone have any experience swapping this board out? Thank you for any help.

I know this is a very old thread, but did you ever get this figured out? I'm having the same issues now, and not seeing parts availability...
