Anyone know where to get a Sony IFG-1400 board or that has one to buy used? I just got the HR10-250 unit and need to add another component board in my Sony switcher for my G70.

You really shouldn't need the IFB-1300, you should be fine with an IFB-12A on a G70.

I've never seen a 1400.

I see what it says, but I've just never seen one. The only one I've seen is the IFB-1300/1, that's for progressive and HDTV input. Feed the HR10-250 to the G70s input and if there's no problem, you can use an IFB-12A.

Quite sometime ago I remember trying to get an xbox connected via an ifb-12a to kevincol's G70. Despite our best efforts we couldn't get it to work. He called Sony who told him the ifb-12a wouldn't work with a progressive component signal and he needed to get an ifb-1400. After he got one we were able to get it working.

The manual for the ifb-12a is a bit confusing. It does indicate that component y/pb/pr and HDTV is supported. But has a subnote that specifies the HDTV standard supported is 1125/60. Isn't that 1080i?

Well, it's actually the projector's circuitry that handles it and has the component circuitry, the IFB card is really just like an interface. Like I said, if you can feed it to the G70s component input and it works, it will work with the IFB-12A card. I use one for BOTH a G70 and D50. Just make sure you set the menu items correctly, or it WON'T work. There has been a couple of threads with all the proper settings.
