Hi All,

I just purchased the Sony KDL-55w800b and I'm ashamed to say that it's my first LCD/LED/Flat-panel TV. I was using a old-school projection style TV for over 15 years (that thing just wouldn't break).

First of all, wow! The picture quality on this unit is great! I just don't like the fact that there are so many settings though, it can get confusing.

Any how, during the unboxing process, I noted there was no way to lift the TV out of the styrofoam without gripping both sides of the edge with a tight grip. I seriously hope that didn't damage the panel long-term (the picture quality is still great and it doesn't look like it affected it). What do you guys think?
