The picture is very sharp and crisp, however the 3d image is decent in the foreground but in the background everything is just a mess with double images. Its like the image is separated too far apart and the glasses arent bringing the image together enough. The images closest to me are perfect.

I've tried adjusting the depth and that didn't fix anything. I also switched out the glasses and that didn't fix it... Any thoughts?

I'll chime in that I notice the same thing on my 32" EX720. Stuff in the front looks great, but background items have double images (ghosting?).

I had called Sony about it and they sent some LCD filters to apply to the glasses. That didn't correct this behavior.

Is this with all content? I mean, directors that choose to have backgrounds out of focus sort of create this with their choices. Such backgrounds just look like a mess to me.

Even though Cameron did it in the best selling 3D movie of all time, it is considered a 3D production "no-no".

Chime in here guys.....the more the better! A whole lot of us are hoping that Sony can fix the 3D X-TALK issue with an update for the speed on the shutter glasses. If it's a "refresh rate" problem because the TV is a 120hz panel then we are stuck.

I really wonder about this issue because the HX929 has the same problem according DigitalVersus's crosstalk photo in their review. Yet they say the HX929 has one of the fastest pixel response time of any LCD they've seen and obviously there a ton of LCD's that have less crosstalk than this:

Crosstalk test photo of HX929 with EX720 and others:

I traded in my Sony for a Samsung, the cross talk was to much for us. The Samsung d6900 seems to handle it much better.

Forgot to mention that the ghosting on my 2010 NX711, with the "picture" setting all the way up has about as much crosstalk in that test photo as the D8000 or less. Another reason that something seems, almost wrong, with the HX929 glasses sync or something and possibly same thing could be effecting the EX's as well.

Tory...could you try to post those test results at the sony forum? I can't seem to copy and paste that link. Good find as it really supports the issue.

Thanks!

Also post it here if your able:
