Worth purchasing more for movies than anything else. I wouldnt hook up a pc to it though. Gaming is doable as long as brightness and contrast are turned down.

SONY KP-65WS500 - worth purchasing?
I am looking at SONY KP-65WS500 (65", and I think it is a CRT rear projection TV) - about 130kg in weight! Ouch, my back!
I intend to use this TV for watching movies, and videogames (Xbox, DC, or perhaps connect the PC to it - if that is possible). I have seen a model - used, floor stand for about $1300 CDN. Worth purchasing?

I got a Sony KP51WS500, 2003. In three months I got the A board replaced cause no picture, now I have 2 bad CRT's which Sony won't replace. No warranty. I feel it is the flickering problem, but Sony says no. It flickered and had a greenish hue, now the whole picture is green. Get the extended warranty!!!
