Hello,

Posting for my own knowledge and to hopefully answer a customers question also.

Does anyone know if using VGA (((1280x1024 (SXGA), 1024X768(XGA) or800x600(SVGA))) to DVI-D adaptor will allow me to send the VGA signal into a Sony LCD monitors DVI-D port.

What we are trying to do is take current monitor that is to view a Media pc using the vga port (input1) and also take its DVI-D port (input2) to see a DVR system that has BNC out. There are tons of BNC video to VGA adaptors at very fair pricing. Going Video to DVI or even hdmi is considerably more.

Thanks in advance!!

I am not aware of any VGA(analog)-DVI(digital) adapters. There are transocders availble that will concvert the analog to digitalo but they are expensive.
