Hi!

Just wondering about using the Sony NP-FV100 battery for extended filming time. It sells on Amazon for ~$95, and it's no surprise that there a plenty of knock off's on Ebay for ~$20. The one selling on Amazon is 3900 mAh, while some of the similar knock off batteries on Ebay claim to be 4500 mAh. Any idea if their claims are realistic and any reasons why I shouldn't just go with the on one Ebay for a fourth of the price? I will be using it in my Sony cx550v camcorder. Any responses or input would be greatly appreciated and thanks for reading

don't buy cheap sony np-fv100. i bought cheap sony np-fv100 from amazon for my sony xr550. works ok on xr550 but when i try to use it on my friend's sony cx700. the camcorder gives out a battery not compatible message on lcd and shuts of the power of the camcorder.

buy direct from sony or bh photo. won't have problem if you upgrade to cx700 or cx760
