I was at a local electronics store the other day, and it looks like they have just had a pretty sharp drop in CRT RPTV prices lately, making me reconsider getting one. They had two 57" sets right next to each other, a Sony KDP-57WS655 and a Toshiba 57HM94, both displaying the same program off of a Dish network satellite. I thought that the Tosh looked quite a bit sharper than the Sony, and it was selling for about $200 less. Many stores seem to carry the Sony, and I have not heard many bad things about it, but I haven't seen or heard much about the Toshiba. Does anybody here have any experience with it? How much more difficult (or easier) is it to get ISF calibrated? I thought I read somewhere that Toshiba had cut back on the quality of their optics in recent years, any truth to that?
