I have read the guides but I am still lost.
I have the VGA out going to the Audio Authority converter - RGB component going into my Sony HS53 30
I can do 480 720 1080 etc - but the input on the Sony compresses everything into 16:9 - at least I think thats what the HD standard is.
So my question is - quadfold.
1. Even though my SVHS doesnt look awful - I am still better with the Audio Authority conversion because that is non interlaced correct? If so what does the non interlaced do for movie playback in terms of performance and or visual quality?
2. I tried YXY etc - Do I have to get a card other than my ATI Radeon to use PowerStrip to correct this with custom resolutions?
3. What do I need to do to make my VGA output compatible with the 16:9 - i.e. compensate before the signal gets there for the fact that its going to get "squashed"?
4. If this is indeed a card issue - what card - company- chip and utilities will I need?
