Does anyone have any advice on this Plasma monitor. I just found it online at www.spenceraudiovisual.com for sale for 6499. I'm new to the audio video world and was wondering if this is a good deal. please help..

First piece of advice: Do a search with PFM42B and you will find quite a few posts about this.


Second piece of advice: If you do not want to search, I can tell you now that it is regarded by most members here as a very inferior plasma compared to the other brands. However, there are a couple of fans who think it is great for HD content.


Third piece of advice: That price is way too high. Expect to pay $5000 or a little less for a 42" plasma.


Fourth piece of advice: Do a search for TH-42PW4 (Pansonic 42"), NEC 42MP3 (NEC 42"), 433HD (Pioneer 43" with 1024X768 rez), ALIS (the Fujitsu method of getting interlace 1024X1024 rez), and also do a user name search on Rogo and R Harkness as these two, IMO, have provided the best posts so far on 42" plasmas.
