(1) Higher brightness (realized by stacking multiple modules).
(2) Extended light source lifespan.
(3) Lower power consumption.
(4) Higher contrast, wider color gamut.
(5) Miniaturization of optical components such as prisms.

"can be used as the light source for a range of projectors, from 1,000 lumen home theater projectors to 10,000 lumen large screen projectors"

Anyone care to shed light on the attractiveness of the above? I expect some heating issues will be resolved through this method. The projector lens housing can be changed by a simple reconnection, for a newer model for example. Are there similar such implementations advertised for home use? The box is only 15cm's long so I would hope this is not a massively expensive solution.

I am surprised there is no interest. This seemed to be the holy grail to me - laser projection, 1000 lumens in home theatre mode, small form factor.

Admittedly, it is not a one box solution, but it is a sign of how long we have to wait at least.
