Can someone tell me definitively that the HD200 can be controlled via a RS232 port? There have been some posts describing the differences btwn the HD200 and the Zenith SAT520 and this is one of the features listed as not available with the Zenith.

To me, the back panels of both appear to be the same. If the 9-pin service port of the Sony can be used for RS232, why can't that of the Zenith be used as well.

This is important to me since I am in the process of installing a Crestron system and will need to replace my Zenith with the Sony if this is in fact the case.

Anyone know?

Yers the Sony HD-200 can be controlled by RS-232. I do not have access to the new Zenith model so I'm not sure about it. Creston will control it just fine.

Email me at dbrichardson(at sign)directinternet.com and I send you two PDFs.

Also a copy of the PDFs are available on line in the doc. section at:

But according to the post in that Yahoo Crestron forum, the Sony HD200 does not have number pad (0-9) codes.
