Sony SDM-HS53

Hi. I know this is a rather old, unexciting, small 15 inch display, but I use it. Sony SDM-HS53. I have ti disconnect my computer a lot to it, and it goes into this "burn-in mode." What does that mean? Why doesn't it just go to power save, when the cable gets unplugged? Is there anyway to change this? Thanks for the help.
