is it pretty much guaranteed that DVI will be an output option on most future sony STB's? i've got a sony hdtv with DVI input. i'm waiting until sony makes a directv sat tuner, hdtv ota tuner, and a hd tivo all in one unit. this should come out in about a year or so i'm guessing. in any case, can i be pretty sure that it'll have DVI output?

oh, i should add that the reason i'm asking is that i've only got 2 component inputs in the television and the dvd player and xbox use those.

I assume Sony will continue to use DVI in their future boxes.


It sounds like you may benefit from a component switcher. Zektor ( www.zektor.com ) makes a great unit that has 4-to-1 switching component video AND digital audio switching capabilities.
