Sony SXRD "green blob" repair...here we go...

So I finally called and had a service call. After going through menu's and a pattern generator the service guy said he would get with Sony and get back with me.... that was last week. I now have an appointment for Wed to have the "optical block" replaced.. Has anyone had this done? I have seen mention of a "light engine"... same thing? :confused:
