I use Vegas 10 Pro. I only see properties for 1080i. There is no progressive choice. I put the m2ts file on the timeline and it is interlaced.

I want to edit and save to hard drive all in progressive format.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

One of our forum posters Ungermann has a video how to do it.

Here is a link.

Jimmy007, Vegas is highly configurable in terms of frame rate, frame size and scanning. Project presets are just that - presets. If you don't see one that is fitting then create your own. Create one with 59.94 (double NTSC) frame rate, field order: "progressive", deinterlacing: "none". Or click the button in the top right of the Project dialog, it is a button that derives properties from a clip and creates project settings to match the clip. Easy.

Then apply the recommendations from the video Steve linked above ;-)

Is Vegas Pro 10 a worthwhile upgrade from Pro 9? I know it has the shake elimination plug in and that would help some of my old Hi8 videos I woukd like to fix. I almost bought the plugin for Pro 9 but now 10 has it. Anything else worthy?
