I have got a Sony VPH-2030QM projector w/o manuals instead of getting paid for open bills :mad:

In-between I have been able to found some manuals but what confuse me are the indications about the horizontal frequency range: some say max 26 kHz other say 32 or even 36 kHz.

Has anyone tried to hook one to an Iscan or similar?. Is the VGA input good enough for this and how does the synch work?

As a side question does anyone know the differences between the different models:

Q (S/N 500?)

QM (Scart input?

Thanks a lot.

Here is my understanding (which is somewhat suspect...)

1030Q (S/N =501000) = 32kHz = just enough for 480p (doubler) or 640x480

1030QM = euro version all 32kHz?

1031Q/QM = 36kHz = enough to squeeze in 540p or 1080i

203x = same as 103x just factory preset to 200" screen size, but can be adjusted back to resonable size.

Quite a few people on the board use these, and really get very good results with them with doublers and HTPCs. Hopefully some of them will chime in with more (or corrected) info.
