Maybe this already has been asked, but i didn't find it on forum.

So i want to connect Radeon 9800 to Sony Vega CRT TV, and to use it in family room as first monitor, just to start the system, second monitor wood be PJ. I don't have space for additional computer monitor. Quechion: do i have to by trancoder or i can connect computer directly to TV. I have some adapter from VGA to component from PJ Infocus X1. Can i use it. I really like to try, but to move TV, furniture, etc. is to complicated, just to make sure it's not working.

If somebody knows something, please share.

Basically, you need a transcoder. I'm not aware of any way to connect a computer directly to a Vega unless it has DVI - my Sony only has component in, so you need the RGB -> Component transcoder..

I'm not familiar with the PJ Infocus, but if it's a VGA to component adapter - it should work - I use the Audio Authority adapter....
