I'm really confused right now. I'm sending a 1080p signal to my Sony XBR 929 from a computer and when it's in "full pixels" mode it keeps showing a 1 inch black bar around the picture. I have to put it into "display area: -1". What in the world is going on here? No matter what I have to stretch the 1080p signal on my 1080p TV....

Leterboxing is black lines at the top and bottom and is used on 4:3 aspect ratio displays to display 16:9 aspect ratio content conmpletly and not distorted.

A black border all the way around is caused by the output from the PC being underscanned in order to possibly prevent overscan problems with the TV. You need to remove the underscanning of your pc output so that it actually outputs a full 1920x1080 inage.
