I read and read and read on this issue and still am hopelessly confused. Other than the frame/bezel, can anyone help me sort out the actual differences between the z4100 and the XBR6 ? Amazon says one thing, Sony Style another, forget about cnet. HELP !

specs r the same. only difference is xbr 6 has a woofer and different bezel. The z panel might have bleeding to it due to thin panel.

because many have reported differences in viewing angles -- z being worse -- i suspect they have different lcd panels, i.e. different types. view and see if you notice a difference and if it is important to you. you might PM user Viper2847(?) since he had a z hated the viewing angles (more than most) and got an xbr6

The viewing angle isn't great on either of them, but the color and contrast look to be about the same. The Z actually has slightly more accurate grayscale using CNET's calibration settings.
