It is safe to put B&W cc6 center channel speaker right on top of the TV?

When I put front speakers next to the TV sides, I get tons of distortion...

Does the center chennel ave more magnetic shielding?

Yes but I would be put high rubber feet on the bottom of your center chanel speaker. I have my WebTV unit sitting on top of my F-38310 and their is absolutely no distortion. I also have my InlineInc 4 to 1 conversion for the one component input, both of these devices have rubber feet I put on under them.
