dear members

I own a EAD TM Ovation. I use my Ovation with a Toshiba SD9000 for dvd's.

The software-version is V 5.05 (should be the latest upgrade).

When I select a chapter/submenu in the dvd-menu some times a loud burst comes from my speakers or I have loud clicking noises.

I had this problem with my earlier software-version V 4.9x(together with a Pioneer dvd-515). This soundproblem was solved with the sofware-upgrade. Now with the new Toshiba, everytime I change in the dvd-menu I have loud clicking noises and sometimes these soundburst!

What can I do ?

Please help me.

Thank's Anthony

I was auditioning a Toshiba SD9100 with my Theatermaster Signature and had the same problem, LOUD noise bursts whenever I changed chapters or inserted another dvd. I figured the problem was with the Toshiba DVD player. But after some investigation it turns out the problem is with the EAD.

The strange thing about this is that the noise comes even while the EAD is muted! This problem occurs to a lesser extent (ie. as frequent but not as loud) with my Sony S7000 and RCA DTC100. To be clear, I am not talking about the clicking noises that the processor itself makes when locking the signal, but actual white-noisish cracks/pops from the speakers.

My dealer says there is a software fix for this but that it will cost $500... I haven't confirmed this with EAD as everyone seems to be @CES. I sure hope that EAD doesn't expect people to pay money for bug fixes such as this, else they can count on losing at least one customer.

Eric, can you post or email that address for the EAD users forum? Thanks.
