sound card digital out help needed

535 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  CCarncross
I have a sound blaster audigy 2 sound card. It has a 1/8th inch digital out on the card. I want to connect it to my rca type coaxial digital input on my stereo receiver. I have been able to find the rca type digital coax cable to use, however I'm unsure on the adapter I need to connect it to the sound card.

I've seen seen stereo to mono adapters, but will this work? I want to be able to use my dolby surround and such. So will this type of adapter lose my surround sound?

Much thanks for any help on clearing this dilema up

Thanks

Matthew

If the A2 is using a mono 1/8" plug, this is what you need to go between your rca digital coax and your sound card.
