I've been going back and forth between getting a soundbar or just using my Turtle Beach x41's for watching blueray movies. I just bought a 60 inch Sharp and wanted to add a soundbar to it while watching bluerays but I forgot that my Turtle Beach x41's can be hooked up to the blueray player. I know that my headphones cannot process the dolby or dts master audio from the blueray but instead only outputs it to stereo but isn't that what soundbars also do? This would be for my enjoyment only as my wife doesn't care too much for anything louder than the tv speakers. I've been looking at soundbars from Sharp, Samsung, Sony and Panasonic and don't want to spend more than $300. Would a soundbar be just as good as my headphones or should I just continue using my headphones?
