So in an ongoing effort to unregionalize my player, I finally managed to cause real damage to one of the component boards on the DVL-909 (the one at the top front right of the player).

I could bring it to Circuit City where they'll charge me an arm and a leg for a replacement board and labor and then take forever.

Or, I could purchase the replacement board and install it myself.

Can I find components for this beast on-line anywhere?

Hello -

There is no online source. You can order this board from the Pioneer Service department (go to their website for a toll-free number), but it will probably cost well over $300.

Another option would be to buy a complete player used from e-bay. They are probably going for a lower price than just the board.

Good luck,

Ahh the beauty of our disposable society, where it's cheaper to buy a replacement unit instead of a single part ;)

Charles, nice to see you participating here :)

I hope all is well for you out in Boulder.

Regards,
